Well God has been doing some amazing things in my life lately, He has been bringing me into a new confidence, I have been speaking out more and more, it's been awesome.
God revealed a verse to me a few months ago, I had been having people ask me why I'm talking about their "religion" so I was asking God why He was having me do this, and He revealed this verse to me "Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. " Ephesians 5:11
Islam is darkness, I have seen it's evils firsthand...it is full of double standards, hate, and oppression.
those of us in America have no idea, all most really know is what the media talks about, they dont really talk about the horrible things that happen in the name of islam.
child marriage, hate for the jews and israel, oppression of women, violence and terrorism in the name of islam, wife beating, persecution of any non muslim, etc etc etc....
the Job of Christians is to expose the darkness....now I am not talking about being hateful about it....when I talk about how islam says to fight the unbelievers I do not say this with anger or hate, I simply state the fact and here is the verses (Sura 9:29-30 and sura 8:12)
God comands that Christians Love EVERYONE even those who wish to kill us....that doesnt mean stay silent about the darkness and actions of islam....but that does mean speak kindly to the people you are talking to....
I see people all the time who while trying to expose islam, they then stoop to the level of those who are being hateful and they become equally hateful....that is not what Christians are commanded to do...we are called to expose the darkness but do so in a loving manner....
so I will continue to expose the lies of islam....I am detirmined, but I know that Jesus Lives and He loves muslims too but they live in darkness....so we expose the darkness and let the Light shine.

I know it's been a while since I've written anything, I have been very busy with work, and family and church.
anyway this is probably the boldest post I have ever done about islam...now this post contains sexual content....so if you get offended easily please do not read any further....
that being said....
if you answered the MORAL answer then you would have said yes that is VERY wrong for a man to do that...
if you are a muslim I will ask....then why do you follow a man who did?
now this post is mainly for muslims, but if you are not a muslim and you never knew this about muhammad then beware these verses from the hadith's I'm about to post were so sick to me and I've read some sick stuff in my lifetime.
Narrated Aisha: "The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became Alright, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age.

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) married her when she was seven years old, and he was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her; and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old.

“My mother came to me while I was being swung on a swing between two branches and got me down. My nurse took over and wiped my face with some water and started leading me. When I was at the door she stopped so I could catch my breath. I was brought in while Muhammad was sitting on a bed in our house. My mother made me sit on his lap. The other men and women got up and left. The Prophet consummated his marriage with me in my house when I was nine years old. Neither a camel nor a sheep was slaughtered on behalf of me.”

this is one of the major things in islam that I cannot get past, I have a family....and I know that if some guy asked to marry one of my children when they are still children, I would rip his head off...
if you did not know this was in islam...now you do....if you are a muslim and your eyes were opened, then I urge you to search for the truth...the truth is not in islam....a loving god would NOT say its ok to do those horrible things to a child...that is only the thoughts of a madman and pedophile....
anyway I am sorry for the sick nature of this post but islam needs to be exposed....

According to the quran Jesus is GOD
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ISLAM AND MUHAMMAD IN THE BELOW POST

JESUS IS GOD IN THE QURAN
This is a very important issue and everybody should know this fact. I studied the Koran and the Hadith and I will discuss this subject according to the Koran and the Holy Bible and we will find the truth that “Jesus is Allah according to the Koran.”
Muslims always love to ask question but sorry to say they don’t want to listen your answer. Muslims always think they are right and you are wrong! (Which is false). Therefore if you don’t have good idea about the Koran and the Holy Bible and any Muslim asks any question to you then I am sure it will strike like a hammer to your faith! One very minor question Muslims always asks, “Where Jesus said He is God?” I am sure so many of you heard this question.
Now I will show the Muslims in a very special way how we can prove them that Jesus said, ‘I am the God’ from their book and our book in the same time.
The God of Islam ‘Allah’ has 99 names. Each name of those are equal to other one. Which means there is no difference between the name of Allah or any of those 99 names. Allah is one of them and He is equal to all those names. No difference but equal. So if Jesus claimed any of those names it means that Jesus is saying to Muslims that ‘He is Muslims God too.’
So I will tell you how many times Jesus said, ‘I am God.’ Which means Jesus is God to Muslims as well. There are so many verses in the Holy Bible but I picked only few verses from the Holy Bible.
I challenge all the Muslims in this Earth NOT to run away from this truth. Now my question to them, ’How can Muslims deny this truth?’
One of the names of God in Islam is AL-HAQ. Which means in Arabic ‘The Truth.’ Did Jesus say in the Holy Bible, “I am the Truth?’ Yes. He said on John 14;9,” I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through Me.” The most important for Christians now that Jesus said, “He is the Truth.” Always remember this truth.
Can any Muslim deny that is God’s (Allah) another name is “The Truth” (AL-HAQ)? No. No one can deny this fact. Because this Truth in Islam is ‘Allah’. AL is Arabic word and its English meaning is ‘you talking about whom.’ HAQ means Truth which in English we say ‘I am the Truth’. In Arabic I am the ‘AL-HAQ’. Can any Muslim deny that?
Another name for God of Islam is AL-BAETH. The Resurrection. Did Jesus say in the Gospel, “I am the Resurrection?” Yes. In the Gospel of John 11;25-26 Jesus says, “I am the Resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and who-ever lives and believes in Me will never die.” When Muslims God ‘Allah’ is called ‘AL-BEATH’ which means resurrection, then it is clearly proven to all of us that Jesus Himself is Allah as Jesus says, “I am the Resurrection.” In Arabic “ I am the ‘AL-BEATH.’ There are not a single Muslim in this Earth can deny that. If any Muslim denies this truth then he/she denies/reject ‘Allah’ as well because they deny the 99 names of Allah.
The God of Islam has two other names. “AL-AWAL” and “AL-AKHER.” In English we say, “I am the Alfa-I am the Omega.” (I am the First and I am the Last.) Isaiah 41;4 says, “I, the Lord-with the first of them and with the last-I am He.” Also the book of Revelation 22;13 says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Jesus is the AL-AWAL and Jesus is the AL-AKHER. Muslims there are no any option or excuse to refuse this truth. You have to accept Jesus as your “Allah.”
One of the names of the God of Islam ’Allah’ is the kings of King. In Arabic ‘AL-MALEK.’ The book of Revelation says on chapter 17 verse 14, “They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings-and with Him will be His called, chosen and faithful followers.”
One of the names of the God of Islam ‘Allah’ is the Guide-“AL-HADI.” Which’s English meaning is The Door/Gate. Did Jesus say that He is the Gate? Yes. In the Gospel of John 10;9 tells us Jesus said, “ I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.”
One of the names of the God of Islam ‘Allah’ is The Light which in Arabic is “Al-NUR.” Did Jesus say that He is the Light or He is the AL-NUR? Yes. In the Gospel of John 8;12 says, “ I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” All these verses are clearly proves that Jesus is Allah according to the Koran and no Muslims can deny this truth. (For readers references please check the Gospel of John. 10;9/15;1/6;35 and 10;11).
For these reason I suggest you my dear Muslims make your decision now. Do not leave it for tomorrow. It may be too late. The door for repentance can be shut and you will live in everlasting regret and suffer punishment. Please do not try to knock the back door because you have to come through the front door and that door is Jesus Christ-AL-HADI.

Does God still Speak to us today?
I've had a lot of friends on facebook tell me that God doesnt speak to us....and when I tell them otherwise they either say I'm crazy or lying...haha...anyway God wants a personal friendship with us...friendship means you talk with the other person...it's a two way conversation, you want to get to know the other person and they want to get to know you...well with God it's about the same (it should be, He created friendships) the only difference is God already KNOWS EVERYTHING about us....so He has the advantage...but He still wants to hear us talk about our joys and failures with Him, He loves us and so He wants us to talk with Him and He will talk to us if we listen...here is what the bible says about God speaking to us.
"Does God still speak to us today?"
Answer: The Bible records God speaking audibly to people many times (Exodus 3:14;Joshua 1:1; Judges 6:18; 1 Samuel 3:11; 2 Samuel 2:1; Job 40:1; Isaiah 7:3; Jeremiah 1:7;Acts 8:26; 9:15 – this is just a small sampling). There is no biblical reason why God could not or would not speak to a person audibly today. With the hundreds of times the Bible records God speaking, we have to remember that they occur over the course of 4,000 years of human history. God speaking audibly is the exception, not the rule. Even in the biblically recorded instances of God speaking, it is not always clear whether it was an audible voice, an inner voice, or a mental impression.
God does speak to people today. First, God speaks to us through His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Isaiah 55:11 tells us, “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” The Bible records God’s words, everything we need to know in order to be saved and live the Christian life. Second Peter 1:3 declares, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”
Second, God speaks through impressions, events, and thoughts. God helps us to discern right from wrong through our consciences (1 Timothy 1:5; 1 Peter 3:16). God is in the process of conforming our minds to think His thoughts (Romans 12:2). God allows events to occur in our lives to direct us, change us, and help us to grow spiritually (James 1:2-5;Hebrews 12:5-11). First Peter 1:6-7 reminds us, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
Finally, God may sometimes speak audibly to people. It is highly doubtful, though, that this occurs as often as some people claim it does. Again, even in the Bible, God speaking audibly is the exception, not the ordinary. If anyone claims that God has spoken to him/her, always compare what is said with what the Bible says. If God were to speak today, His words would be in full agreement with what He has said in the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God does not contradict Himself.

Each year, thousands of Christian homes and churches are torched or bombed by muslim mobs, and hundereds of Christians, including dozens of priests, pastors, nuns and other church workers are murdered at the hands of islamic extremists. The so-called justification varies, from charges of apostasy or evangelism, to purported "blastphemy" or "insulting" islam. Innocent people have been hacked to death by devout muslims over cartoons.
Yet, there is little if any violent retaliation from religious Christians to the discrimination, kidnapping, rape, torture, mutilation and murder that is routinely reported from nations with muslim majorities. Neither is there any significant deadly terrorism in the name of Jesus, as there is in the stated cause of allah each and every day. muslim clerics in the West do not fear for their safety as do their Christian counterparts.
The "Christian world" and the islamic worlf contrast sharply in other ways as well, from the disparate condition of human rights and civil liberties to economic status. An astonishing 70% of the worlds refugees are muslims - usually seeking to live in Christian based countries.
While Western societies take seriously the "scandels" such as Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo (where no one has actually been killed) muslims routinely turn a blinde eye to their own horrible atrocities, even those commited explicity in the name of allah. The muslim world has yet to offer a single apology for the tens of millions of lives consumed by centuries of relentless jihad and slavery.
These sharp differences are almost certainly rooted in the underlying religions, which begin with the disparate teachings of Jesus and Muhammad....

The two religions contrast sharply even in their positive aspects. The morality of the quran is amateurish and frustratingly obscure for those who try to compare it to what is contained in the bible. most of islam's holiest book is devoted toward distinguishing and heaping abuse on believers. there are no verses that promote universal love and brotherhood. the few verses that are sometimes held up as examples of tollerance and peace generally require separation from textual and historical context.
the difference between Christianity and islam starts at the top:
muslims are told that muhammad - a slave owner, sexual glutton, thief and killer - is the most "beautiful pattern of conduct" and "example" for mankind to follow (quran 33:21), as well as the "exalted standard of character" (quran 68:4).
Christians are told to emulate Jesus -a pacifist and servant - and "walk, even as He walked" (1 john 2:6). Unlike muhammad, who ordered military assaults against Christians, for example, Jesus told His followers not to resort to violence and to pray for one's enemies.

relationship? yes....
God works in many mysterious ways, those who strive to do His will each and everyday find themselves being approached by people that God's sends, either to minister to them or receive ministry from them. it's really amazing how God works, He has shown me a lot of things that He wishes me to do, thankfully He never gives me more then I can handle. He has brought people into my life who He wants me to share His love with, He has given me dreams of the future, and He has never left my side in all of this...
I posted once the reasons why I would never go over to islam....my muslim friends cannot understand this, they keep wondering and they cannot grasp the answers I give. not many people these days grasp the idea of not just following a religion or a set of rules, but actually gaining a FRIENDSHIP with God, one that is perfect and personal, the kind that God WANTS....He doesnt just want us to follow the rules and be diligent, He wants us to search Him out, ask for His friendship, and have a true relationship with Him, He wants us to spend time with Him, talk to Him personally, just like friends should do...not many people grasp that concept anymore....lots just think that if they do enough good works, then their okay....NOT TRUE....sorry....if you want to be close to God, you need to cultivate a relationship with Him, one that is based on your love for Him and His love for you.
are you wanting that close loving intimate friendship with God? do you want to be perfectly loved by a perfect father? if you answered yes to any of those, then get on your knees and ask Him.

islam or christianity? both cannot be the truth
If you believe in islam...please listen well....this might change your life.
I'm sorry to say this, but muslims and christians cannot both be right, and both beliefs cannot both be true...there are just too many ways they contradict eachother...
Contradiction #1:
the quran says: Quran (9:30) - "And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!"
the Bible says: Galatians 5:14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
Contradiction #2:
The Quran claims that Jesus was only a prophet.
The Bible says that He is Immanuel [hebrew, means God with us].Mighty God, King of Kings, Everlasting Father, Messiah and Savior.
Contradiction #3:
The Quran claims that you can get to paradise by going enough good deeds to outweigh the bad.
the Bible says, All have sinned and fallen SHORT of God's glorious standard....and the wages [price] of sin is DEATH but the Gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
meaning no ammount of good deeds can get us to heaven....ONLY accepting God's Gift can get us to heaven.

Can God Die?
I am asked these questions a lot. mostly by muslims. They do not believe that Jesus died, so they ask this question. now in my earlier days of learning about my faith I wouldnt know how exactly to answer this question, but as I grew in my faith and learned more about the depth of it all, I'm not more able to explain the answer to these questions, now if your a muslim, or if you are wondering about the answer to these questions, read this with an open heart, because God has something amazing in store for you, and He wants you to see it but all He asks is that you open your heart and mind to the truth of the One True God.
First Question: "Did God die? If Jesus was God, and Jesus died on the cross, does that mean God died?"
Answer: Did God die when Jesus died on the cross? The answer depends on how we understand the meaning of the word "die." To die does not mean an end of existence. Death is separation. Death is when the soul-spirit separates from the physical body. So, in that sense, yes, God died, because Jesus was God in human form, and Jesus' soul-spirit separated from His body. However, if by “die” we mean a cessation of existence, then no, God did not die. For God to die would mean that He ceased to exist, and neither the Father, nor the Son, nor the Holy Spirit will ever cease to exist. The essence of Jesus, the second Person of the Trinity, left the body He temporarily inhabited on Earth, but His essence did not die, nor could it.
Jesus is truly God and truly man. His physical body did die because it was entirely human. Just as our physical bodies die, so did His. But in the same way that Jesus died physically, but remained alive spiritually, so our physical bodies will experience death, but our soul and spirit will remain because they are eternal. The same is true with regard to Jesus Christ. His physical body died, but His inner being is eternal and could not die.
The question for all people to ask is “what will happen to my soul/spirit when it leaves my physical body?” This is the most crucial question in life. As we saw with Jesus, our spirits will leave our bodies and travel on to somewhere else. Jesus returned to heaven to be with the Father. We will either follow Him there to spend eternity in heaven with Him, or we will go to hell to spend eternity in “outer darkness” where there will be “weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 8:12). There is no other option. Jesus’ physical death on the cross paid the way for all who would ever believe in Him so that we can know for sure where our spirits will reside for eternity. His physical death provided to us spiritual life, both here and in heaven. “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you” (Romans 8:11).
Second Question: "Why did Jesus have to die?"
Answer: Jesus died on the cross to bear sin’s punishment for believers. Many people have doubted Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the grave, despite historical evidence. Muslims question, “Why would Allah require His prophet Isa to die?”
The Scripture explains that Jesus Christ died for our sins: “Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3b-4).
Scripture affirms that the sinless Jesus bled and died on the cross to pay the punishment for believing sinners. Let’s study the Scriptures, the Bible, to find out why Jesus’ death and resurrection provide the only entrance for sinners into paradise.
The punishment for sin is death
The Bible says the holy God created earth and man perfectly. But Adam and Eve fell to the temptation of Satan and disobeyed God. Ever since Adam’s sin, sin has infected the human race. Each person is guilty: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Sin is not just big things like murder or blasphemy but also includes lying, lusting, and stealing. Even the love of money or hatred of enemies is sin, according to the Bible. Good works cannot make up for wrongs against the holy God. Compared to His holiness, “all our righteous acts are like filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6b).
Having sinned against God, we deserve His punishment. A judge who pardons lawbreakers isn’t a good judge. Likewise, God will not overlook sin. He pours out His righteous wrath against sinners (Romans 2:1-11). Unbelieving sinners pay for their sin by suffering eternal death in hell: “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23a).
The promise required an innocent death
Although God banished Adam and Eve from the garden and the tree of life, He gave them hope of salvation and paradise. He promised to send the woman’s offspring—Jesus—Who would conquer Satan (Genesis 3:15). Until then, men would sacrifice innocent lambs as a substitute for the punishment they deserved. Sacrificing an animal showed men’s humble acknowledgement that their sin required death and showed their faith in the future offspring and sacrifice from God—Jesus—Who would bear the believer’s penalty once and for all.
The prophets foretold Jesus’ death
From Adam to Jesus, God sent prophets to mankind, warning them of sin’s punishment and foretelling the coming Savior. 700 years before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah described Him:
“Who has believed what they heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. Centuries later, Jesus fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy. Although Jesus is eternally one with God, God the Father sent His Son to earth (John 3:16). Jesus is the promised offspring of the woman (Genesis 3:15), born in human flesh to the virgin Mary. God witnessed that Jesus is His own Son (Matthew 17:5). On seeing Jesus, the prophet John the Baptist cried, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29).
Taking the sin of the world as the sacrificial Lamb of God is why Jesus had to die. He came to take the punishment for sin—death.
Jesus prophesied His own death many times: “And taking the twelve, he said to them, ‘See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished. For he will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and shamefully treated and spit upon. And after flogging him, they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise’" (Luke 18:31-33).

During the life of Jesus, crowds thronged around Him for healing and teaching, but the religious leaders scorned Him. They arrested Him and charged Him with blasphemy for affirming to be the Son of God (Luke 22:70). Mobs cried out, “Crucify Him!” Soldiers beat, mocked, and crucified Him.
On the cross, Jesus bore the punishment of sin. At His death, He cried out, “It is finished” (John 19:30b). Jesus finished paying the punishment for sin, as the perfect Lamb of God.
As Isaiah prophesied, Jesus was crucified in between two criminals and was buried in a rich man’s tomb. But Jesus didn’t remain in the grave. As He prophesied, Jesus rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death.

Jesus died for believing sinners. We cannot reach paradise on our own merit. Remember, the holy God will not let sin go unpunished. If we bore our own sins, we would suffer judgment in the flames of hell. But God sacrificed Jesus as the believer’s perfect Substitute.
The Scripture says, “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified [made righteous/good] by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation [restored relationship].
“Therefore, just as through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned. . . . So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 5:6-12; 18-21).
Jesus died to provide the only way to eternal life. If God is showing your sin and need of Jesus, repent, turning from your sin and own way of trying to please God. You cannot fix yourself. Believing the Bible’s truth about Who Jesus is and what He did, trust in Jesus as Savior from sin and follow Him as the Lord of your life. He will lead and strengthen you through His Word, the Bible.

First Question: "Did God die? If Jesus was God, and Jesus died on the cross, does that mean God died?"
Answer: Did God die when Jesus died on the cross? The answer depends on how we understand the meaning of the word "die." To die does not mean an end of existence. Death is separation. Death is when the soul-spirit separates from the physical body. So, in that sense, yes, God died, because Jesus was God in human form, and Jesus' soul-spirit separated from His body. However, if by “die” we mean a cessation of existence, then no, God did not die. For God to die would mean that He ceased to exist, and neither the Father, nor the Son, nor the Holy Spirit will ever cease to exist. The essence of Jesus, the second Person of the Trinity, left the body He temporarily inhabited on Earth, but His essence did not die, nor could it.
Jesus is truly God and truly man. His physical body did die because it was entirely human. Just as our physical bodies die, so did His. But in the same way that Jesus died physically, but remained alive spiritually, so our physical bodies will experience death, but our soul and spirit will remain because they are eternal. The same is true with regard to Jesus Christ. His physical body died, but His inner being is eternal and could not die.
The question for all people to ask is “what will happen to my soul/spirit when it leaves my physical body?” This is the most crucial question in life. As we saw with Jesus, our spirits will leave our bodies and travel on to somewhere else. Jesus returned to heaven to be with the Father. We will either follow Him there to spend eternity in heaven with Him, or we will go to hell to spend eternity in “outer darkness” where there will be “weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 8:12). There is no other option. Jesus’ physical death on the cross paid the way for all who would ever believe in Him so that we can know for sure where our spirits will reside for eternity. His physical death provided to us spiritual life, both here and in heaven. “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you” (Romans 8:11).
Second Question: "Why did Jesus have to die?"
Answer: Jesus died on the cross to bear sin’s punishment for believers. Many people have doubted Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the grave, despite historical evidence. Muslims question, “Why would Allah require His prophet Isa to die?”
The Scripture explains that Jesus Christ died for our sins: “Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3b-4).
Scripture affirms that the sinless Jesus bled and died on the cross to pay the punishment for believing sinners. Let’s study the Scriptures, the Bible, to find out why Jesus’ death and resurrection provide the only entrance for sinners into paradise.
The punishment for sin is death
The Bible says the holy God created earth and man perfectly. But Adam and Eve fell to the temptation of Satan and disobeyed God. Ever since Adam’s sin, sin has infected the human race. Each person is guilty: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Sin is not just big things like murder or blasphemy but also includes lying, lusting, and stealing. Even the love of money or hatred of enemies is sin, according to the Bible. Good works cannot make up for wrongs against the holy God. Compared to His holiness, “all our righteous acts are like filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6b).
Having sinned against God, we deserve His punishment. A judge who pardons lawbreakers isn’t a good judge. Likewise, God will not overlook sin. He pours out His righteous wrath against sinners (Romans 2:1-11). Unbelieving sinners pay for their sin by suffering eternal death in hell: “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23a).
The promise required an innocent death
Although God banished Adam and Eve from the garden and the tree of life, He gave them hope of salvation and paradise. He promised to send the woman’s offspring—Jesus—Who would conquer Satan (Genesis 3:15). Until then, men would sacrifice innocent lambs as a substitute for the punishment they deserved. Sacrificing an animal showed men’s humble acknowledgement that their sin required death and showed their faith in the future offspring and sacrifice from God—Jesus—Who would bear the believer’s penalty once and for all.
The prophets foretold Jesus’ death
From Adam to Jesus, God sent prophets to mankind, warning them of sin’s punishment and foretelling the coming Savior. 700 years before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah described Him:
“Who has believed what they heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
