Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."
Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." "People of the Book" refers to Christians and Jews.
Quran (48:29) - "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard (ruthless) against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves"
okay I'm not trying to come down on Muslims, I DONT hate Muslims, in fact I love muslims, but I am told by them ALL the time that Islam is a peaceful and tollerent religion....please feel free to look up and read these verses in the quran for yourself....the quran is the "holy book" of islam....anyone who follows islam must follow the quran because islam says that it's the word of allah....so please tell me....where in these verses is peace and tollerence for unbelievers taught. in these verses and many others muslims are taught to Fight the unbelievers....they are taught to make jews and christians pay a tax until they are subdued....where is tolerence? where is peace?
Christians are even called the vilest of creatures in Surat Al-Bayyinah 98:6 "Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures."
that certainly doesnt sound tolerent to me....
if you truly want a real peace.....not a religion....but a peaceful lifestyle....then take a look at this....
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; " Matthew 5:44
"“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:16-17
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment." Matthew 22:37-38
"Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No man has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us". 1 John 4:7-11.
"God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us". Romans 5:8
"In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world that we might live through him" . 1 John 4:9
if you want true peace, accept the Gift that God has given to us, only that can bring true peace....
while muslims are taught to fight the unbelievers, Christians are taught to Love and Pray for everyone, including unbelievers....
so if you still think that islam is a peaceful and tolerent religion....then please go back and read those verses from the quran.
if you want to find true and lasting peace try asking Father God to reveal it to you.
